BPE 2009 and BioEurope 2009 were once again the preeminent partnering events of the fall for biotech seeking to meet prospective biopharma partners. However, if you are actively seeking development and market stage pharmaceuticals you should seriously consider EuroPLX events - held three times a year in various European cities, they are essential for partnering in the pharmaceutical arena.
There are many more partnering events this winter and Currentpartnering will be present at them all - the following are our suggested must attend events: TA Partnerships, Biobusiness 2010, Biopartnering North America, Drug Delivery Partnerships, BioSquare, BioAsia.
October saw a continuation in the big uplift in partnering activity, with nearly 200 deals announced according to our Scorecard - the highest since January. This reflects not only increased activity normally associated with the post-vacation period, but also the probable beginnings of a new momentum in dealmaking as people put the worst of the economic crisis behind them.
